At 29, Marcela Vidra has been making her mark on the Brazilian opera scene with roles such as Rosina in Gioachino Rossini's "The Barber of Seville", Paloma in Francisco Asenjo Barbieri's "El Barberillo de Lavapiés," Lola in Pietro Mascagni's "Cavalleria Rusticana," and Ignacio's mother in André Mehmari's "O Machete." Her academic journey is distinguished by performances in Henry Purcell's "Dido and Aeneas," Mozart's "The Magic Flute," and Georges Bizet's "Carmen" in 2019.

Marcela has collaborated with renowned conductors like André dos Santos, Abel Rocha, Cinthia Alireti, Gabriel Rhein Schirato, Maíra Ferreira, Priscila Bomfim, Vânia Pajares, and Victor Hugo Toro, and with stage directors such as Julianna Santos, André Di Peroli, and Ronaldo Zero.

She completed her training at the Opera Academy of Theatro São Pedro in 2023 and continues to hone her vocal technique under the tutelage of Mezzo-Soprano Maria Lúcia Waldow, and is represented by Duo Conexões Culturais.

In addition to consolidating her career in Brazil, Marcela has been seeking to expand her international recognition. She was invited to audition for the Academy of the Opéra National de Paris in France in 2021 and 2023, and in 2024 was finalist for the Centre de Perfeccionament of Palau de les Arts in Valencia, Spain. These opportunities underline her commitment to artistic excellence and her aspiration to stand out on the global lyrical stage.
